"Having paid a lot of money to my solicitor to help me with my case, it was taking months and I was no further to a resolution when my friend recommended AFM. They were like a night in shining armour and came to my rescue. Not only did my personal advisor support me through some difficult times, she gave constructive advice and even drew up my papers ready court. It was such an easy process made easier by the quick response to my queries and AFM even got me into court a lot quicker than my solicitor had estimated and at a fraction of the cost. Me and my children are now settled and happy with our new life, one without fear. If you are going through this you don't have to be a victim you can be a survivor like me. Make the decision today for you and your family to live a better life by contacting AFM and seeing how they can support you to achieve your goals.

abuse

Abuse comes in many forms and has no bounds, it occurs in every social class, religion, race and can have an equally devastating effect on victims, survivors, their children, families and the wider community. The impact, on those currently going through it or who are survivors of abuse, is detrimental to their physical and mental, health and wellbeing and can be deeply damaging, often increasing in severity as time goes by.

One in four women in the UK will be a victim of abuse at one time in their life, one incident of abuse is reported to police every minute of every day, two women each week are killed by their current or former partner – how many women do you know?

What is abuse

“any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been intimate partners of family members regardless of gender or sexuality. This can encompass but is not limited to the following types of abuse: psychological, physical, sexual, financial and emotional”

Action For Mothers looks to get you the fastest results at the least cost possible to you.

Joe and I split up almost 2 years ago. We have two beautiful girls together. We have tried on many occasions to sort out child care arrangements without success. Each time we tried, it ended up in an argument and both of us getting stressed which had an impact on our daughters. I contacted a solicitor who told me my case would most likely have to go to court as we couldn't agree on childcare and that it could run into thousands of £s. Luckily for me I found Action for Mothers. Not only did they draw up a draft parenting plan, they liaised with Joe on my behalf and within a short space of time we were able to agree to share childcare responsibilities, not only that but it cost us a fraction of what the solicitor had quoted me. The girls are happy and more relaxed as they know who is picking them up from school each day and where they will be any weekend or holiday throughout the year. Me and Joe are even talking civilly to each other which we haven't been able to do since we split up. Thank you so much AFM we couldn't have done it without you.
