Child Access - my story mum Hertfordshire

At the beginning of 2016 I had access to my children arbitrarily stopped by my ex partner. It was a heart wrenching time and I was led to believe by solicitors that the law fell totally on the mother’s side; worryingly this was also reiterated by my Barrister. I was told that my case would cost £15-£20,000 plus and take 8-12 weeks to get it into court. It was at this stage that that I discovered a company that was about to change my life – I was introduced to a McKenzie Friend who was a law advocate for "Action For Mothers".

On meeting my the law Advocate, he asked to accompany me to my next lawyer’s meeting to confirm my position; my lawyer welcomed him. My lawyer re-stated that it would take 8-12 weeks to get my case to court; after reading the case file my Law Advocate informed my lawyer that he would get the case to court within a week, my lawyer laughed! My Law Advocate never got my case to court in a week, he got it listed in five days. After seeing the evidence  the judge gave me immediate access to my children; I sobbed. I am eternally grateful for this valiant approach and in awe of their passion to succeed. Action For Mothers cost me a fraction of the cost of what my lawyer’s quoted and got the job done in a fraction of the time. I only wish I had known of Action For Mothers sooner.
