         Parenting Plan
The Parenting Plan (also known as parental plan) is a written plan worked out between parents after they separate and it covers the practical issues of parenting. The Plan can help clarify the arrangements you need to put in place to care for your children after separation, without having to go to court. It can help you in dealings with your children’s other parent or carer, and it asks parents to put the best interests of their children first.
To support you, Action for Mothers are able to create an individual parenting plan with input from all parties to meet the needs of everyone involved.
In preparing a parenting plan, we will liaise with both the Mother and Father to ensure that everyone gets a say in the child care arrangements. Once agreed, and if you want to, you can formalise the agreement by taking the parenting plan and getting it regularised and sealed by the courts (dependant upon you financial circumstance there maybe an additional cost for this, payable directly to the courts).
